The Library / Media Center at St. Helena Elementary School brings the world to the reader. Interested in exploring North American rivers, Aztec pyramids, an African delta or the Great Wall of China? Can you imagine what it's like to live another person's life, to walk in his or her shoes -- in 1800's London or 1950's Birmingham, Alabama? The Library gives you the chance to explore, imagine, learn and just enjoy.
Of course, we also help students find the print resources they need to succeed in their classes. Students spend 45 minutes each week in the library for story time, library instruction, research, and/or checkout.
- Student and Parent Check-Out: Students may check out 2 books per visit. Books are checked out for two weeks. Parents may also check out books for two weeks by establishing an account of their own. Many parent resource books are available.
