Resetting your Cisco Phone
There are times when you might have to reset your Cisco IP Phone. Please follow these steps to successfully reset your phone.
STEP ONE: Clear a space around your phone so you can pick it up and look at the back side of the phone. Be careful with the cables connected to your phone, they may also be connected to your computer and a wall jack. If they have become tangled you may, at any time, unplug them from either device and untangle them.
STEP TWO: Now that you have organized things around your phone turn it around to see the plugs the cables are connected to.
There are 3 plugs that you may use here.
The one on the far right (10/100 PC) connects to your PC or MAC providing internet access. The plug to the left of that (10/100 SW) is the one that connects your phone and provides power to it. If you have not already unplugged this cable when you untangled your cords do so now.
STEP THREE: Count to ten and plug the cable back into the 10/100 SW plug. You may now turn your phone around and you will see the phone screen go through a re-initialization process for 30-60 seconds. Once this is complete your phone is ready to use.
